Behind Schauerte Export Consulting stands me: Michael Schauerte. As a business graduate (Diplom-Kaufmann) and industry expert, I have dedicated my professional life to the international sales of German beers. My goal is to strengthen medium-sized businesses. I believe that artisanal brewing craftsmanship from Germany deserves its place worldwide—not just that of large corporations, but yours too.

2021 – 2025: Export Director at C. & A. Veltins

Responsible for the strategic realignment of the export department of one of Germany's largest private breweries. Focus on profit maximization and opening new markets in Europe, North America, and Asia. Achievements include the successful turnaround of the US business and the introduction of a unified pricing and terms strategy, market entry in Thailand, and the expansion of business in Italy.

2004 – 2020: Regional Sales Manager and Head of Export Marketing at Erdinger Weißbräu

17 years of building work for a global brand. Among my greatest successes are the successful transformation of Canada into a top-10 export market with listings in all provinces and successful privatization in Quebec, listings in Lufthansa First and Business Class and at Albert Heijn in the Netherlands, and the worldwide re-launch of the Erdinger Pikantus brand as a gourmet aperitif.

Education & Foundation

Business graduate (Diplom-Kaufmann, University of Paderborn) with international experience through positions in Ottawa and Montreal. Fluent and negotiation-proficient in German and English, strong intercultural competence and communicative sensitivity.

I know how complex the "Three-Tier System" in the USA is, how to negotiate with the Liquor Boards in Canada or with the purchasing departments of major supermarket chains. I have led sales teams myself and repositioned products like "Pikantus" worldwide.
